Is IC Markets regulated in Australia?
The short answer
We could not read a licence claim on IC Markets’ website, so we have nothing of theirs to check against a register. That is a limit of our reading, not a finding about the broker. Most large brokers block automated readers, or render their licence text with JavaScript our reader does not execute. It does not mean IC Markets is unlicensed, in Australia or anywhere else — it means we cannot show you a comparison, and we will not publish one we have not made.
Investfora publishes what registers say. Nothing on this page is a recommendation, and we do not tell anyone what to do with their money.

Regulation in Australia
The local authority is Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC). Whether a firm may deal with clients in Australia, and on what terms, is that authority’s question, not a question a foreign licence answers. Investfora does not currently query the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) register directly; the registers we do read are listed on our methodology page, along with the ones that block us.
Australia applies a statutory retail leverage cap of 30:1 on major currency pairs.
