How to Trade on Investfora: A Practical Guide
Learn how trading works on Investfora, what you can trade, and what to think about before you start.
What is trading on Investfora?
Trading on Investfora means using your cash balance to buy and sell financial instruments through a dedicated trading account. You fund this account from the euros you have already transferred to Investfora, so the money is yours and already sitting there.
The key thing to understand is that trading is different from the other ways you can put your money to work on Investfora. With fixed-term deposits, you lock money away for an agreed period and know exactly what comes back. With business lending, you choose which businesses to lend to. With crypto, you buy coins at live prices and hold them.
You decide exactly how much of your Investfora cash to move into your trading account. The rest stays in your main balance, where you can keep it or use it for deposits, lending, or crypto. Nothing happens unless you instruct it.
What can you trade?
Investfora's trading account gives you access to four broad asset classes: currencies, indices, shares, and ETFs, plus commodities. These are traded through the broker's platform at live market prices. Currencies are pairs like euros and dollars. Indices are baskets of shares, such as the major stock market indices of large economies. Shares are individual company stocks.
Commodities include metals, energy, and agricultural products. All of these can be bought and sold during market hours, and the broker's platform shows you current prices, charts, and the tools you need to place trades. You can trade on your computer or mobile phone, whichever suits you.
The range is broad enough to let you build a trading strategy around assets you understand or want to learn about. If you are interested in a particular currency, sector, company, or commodity, you can trade it.
How do you get started with trading?
First, you need to have euros in your Investfora account. You transfer them by bank transfer using the reference code shown in your dashboard. The money usually arrives and is matched within one to three working days. Your first deposit must be at least EUR 250. After that, you can deposit any amount.
Once you have cash in your Investfora balance, you decide how much to move into your trading account. You do this from your dashboard. The money moves instantly and is now available to trade. You can move money between your main balance and your trading account whenever you want.
Next, you learn to use the broker's platform. You can trade on Windows, on Android, or through the web trader built into Investfora. The platform shows you live prices, charts, and the order entry screen. You click to buy or sell, set your price or accept the market price, and your trade is executed. Each trade is recorded and shown on your account screen.
What should you think about before you trade?
The most important thing to understand is that the value of the assets you trade can move against you quickly. You might buy a share and the price falls. You might sell expecting a price to drop and it rises instead. Unlike fixed-term deposits, where you know the outcome in advance, trading outcomes depend on what happens in the market, which you cannot control. The value of your investments can go down as well as up, and you may get back less than you put in.
Trading also means costs. Each trade incurs a fee or a spread, which is the difference between the price you pay and the price you receive. These costs add up. If you trade frequently, they matter a lot. You need to make enough from your successful trades to cover these costs and still come out ahead.
You also need a plan. Successful traders do not trade on a whim or chase prices up or down. They decide in advance what they are trying to do, which assets they understand, what price movements they are looking for, and when they will cut their losses if they are wrong. Without a plan, trading can become emotional and costly.
The difference between trading and investing
Trading and investing are often confused, but they work differently. An investor might buy a share and hold it for years, expecting it to go up over that long period. A trader might buy the same share and sell it hours or days later, trying to make money from short-term price movements. Both approaches carry risk, but the timescale and strategy are different.
On Investfora, you choose which approach suits you. You can use fixed-term deposits if you want a predictable outcome over a set period. You can use business lending if you want to earn interest by lending to real companies. You can hold crypto if you believe in its long-term value. You can trade if you want to actively buy and sell assets in the short term.
Many people use a mix. They might put some money into fixed-term deposits for stability, some into business lending for steady returns, and some into a trading account to try more active strategies. Your Investfora balance makes this easy because each investment sits separately on its own screen.
The role of AI ForaBot in trading
Investfora offers a service called AI ForaBot, which is automated trading managed by a dedicated personal trading manager. This is a paid subscription service, sold on a one-year contract or as a lifetime licence that includes the full course. Instead of making every trading decision yourself, you can work with your manager to set a strategy and let automation help execute it.
The price is quoted by your trading manager based on your needs and the package you choose. This is not something listed on the platform. If you are interested in automated trading, you can ask a manager to explain how it works and what it costs.
ForaBot is optional. Plenty of people trade manually on the broker's platform without it. But if you want the support of a manager and the benefits of automation, it is there.
Getting started: practical next steps
If trading interests you, start by opening an Investfora account if you do not have one already. Make your first deposit of at least EUR 250 by bank transfer using your dashboard reference. Wait one to three working days for the money to arrive. Familiarise yourself with the platform by exploring the broker's tools, charts, and order entry screens.
Then move a small amount of your cash into your trading account and place a few practice trades. You do not need to risk a lot to learn how the platform works and what trading feels like. Many people trade a small part of their total balance while keeping the rest in deposits or lending.
Remember that trading is a skill. It takes time to learn. Do not put in money you cannot afford to lose. Read the platform's help guides, understand the fees and spreads, and think carefully about your strategy before you start. Investfora does not give advice or recommendations, so you are in charge of your own decisions.
