Income While You Sleep: How to Put Your Money to Work

Why people invest money they are not spending, how it works in practice, and what Investfora offers.

What does income while you sleep mean?

Most people earn money by working. You trade your time and effort for a wage or salary. But there is another idea: putting money somewhere so that it earns more money without you doing anything. That earned money is called income, and if the money works while you sleep, you are not trading your time for it.

This is not magic or a shortcut to wealth. It is simply how money can work when you own something that produces value. A business earns money from selling things. A bank pays interest on money you lend it. A property might be rented out. In each case, your money is doing something, and something comes back to you.

The catch is real: there is no guaranteed return, and the value of what you own can fall. You might get back less than you put in. But for money you do not need right now, putting it to work is how many people think about building up what they own over time.

Investfora lets you choose from several ways to do this. The idea is the same in each case: you move money into something, and from then on it works. You decide what that something is.

The types of income Investfora offers

Fixed-term deposits are the simplest. You transfer money to a bank for an agreed length of time at an agreed rate. The bank lends that money out and pays you interest. Your dashboard shows exactly what you will earn each day and what you will get back when the term ends.

Business lending works differently. Real companies borrow money and pay interest on it, just as you might borrow from a bank. On Investfora, you can lend to them directly. Each listing shows you the risk grade, the interest rate, how much they are borrowing, what secures the loan, and when they will pay it back.

Cryptocurrencies are digital currencies you can buy and hold. Investfora offers fifty of them at live prices. You can swap euros into crypto in seconds, or swap back again. You can start with as little as one euro. The value moves constantly and can fall sharply.

Trading means using a trading account on a broker's platform, funded from your Investfora cash. You can trade currencies, indices, shares, ETFs and commodities. This is active: you are buying and selling to try to profit from price movements. It requires skill and knowledge, and losses happen quickly.

Getting money in to start

To open an Investfora account, you set up with your details. Your dashboard then shows a bank reference unique to you. You transfer euros using that reference, and your cash balance goes up when the money arrives and has been matched. This usually takes one to three working days. The first deposit must be at least EUR 250.

Nothing is invested automatically. The money sits in your Investfora cash balance until you decide to put it into something. You are in control. You look at what is available, think about what you want to do, and then instruct the platform. Each investment is held separately and shown on its own screen.

The money you transfer is yours. Investfora is regulated by the CNMV in Spain, register number 244. It holds your cash and manages your investments, but it is not a bank. Do not confuse Investfora's own role with the protection you get from banks and deposit schemes.

Before you put money in: three things to think about

First, only invest money you will not need soon. If you put money into a fixed-term deposit, it is locked away until the term ends. If you lend to a business, your money is tied up until they repay. If you buy crypto or trade, you need to be ready to hold through price swings.

Second, understand that all investing carries risk. The value of what you own can go down as well as up, and you might get back less than you put in. This is true for deposits, lending, crypto and trading. A bank might fail (though your money is covered up to EUR 100,000). A business might not repay. Crypto prices move wildly. Trading is especially risky.

Third, think about what mix makes sense for you. You might put some money into fixed-term deposits because the rate is agreed upfront and the risk is low. You might put some into business lending because the interest is higher but the risk is higher too.

How income actually reaches you

With deposits and lending, the money you earn goes into your Investfora cash balance. Your dashboard shows it building up each day. When a deposit matures or a business repays a loan, the full amount comes back into your cash. You can then withdraw it to your bank account, transfer it again, or put it into something else.

With crypto, you are waiting for the price to go up so that when you sell, you get more euros back than you put in. There is no income flowing in: you are betting on the price moving in your favour. The same is true for trading: you win or lose depending on whether prices move the way you expected.

Investfora does not give advice about which investments to choose or how much to put into each. You make those decisions. The platform shows you all the information you need for each one, and you use that to decide.

The idea of AI ForaBot

Investfora also offers AI ForaBot, a paid subscription service. Instead of choosing what to trade yourself, a dedicated personal trading manager handles the trading account for you using automated systems. The price is quoted by your trading manager, not in articles or on the website.

ForaBot is a separate product with its own terms. It is not a way to guarantee income or remove the risk of trading. It is a service for people who want to trade but prefer to have a manager do it. The value of the trading account can still go down as well as up.

Getting started

To open an account, visit the Investfora website and sign up. You will give your details and then see your dashboard with your unique bank reference. Make your first transfer of at least EUR 250 using that reference. Wait one to three working days for it to land and match.

Once the money is in your cash balance, spend some time looking at what is available. Read the details of each deposit on offer, each business asking to borrow, each cryptocurrency. Look at the trading platform if you are interested. Think about what makes sense for you and what risks you are willing to take.

Then choose. Put money into a deposit if you want a known rate and a known return date. Lend to a business if you want higher income but are ready for higher risk. Try crypto or trading if you understand that you are betting on prices moving. Start small if this is new to you.
